Ever since the outbreak of Corona virus has become a much bigger threat, the possibilities of maintaining a consistent and efficient flow of knowledge to scholars has been next to impossible. Universities are stressed with this overwhelming situation and trying their best to somehow find a solution of it and because of all these nerve-cracking and sudden decisions, students all over the planet are anxious and worried about their future since they’re unable to receive any kind of tuition which is giving them a hard time to come up with the stressful situation and haunting environment.
Therefore, in order to help the students in every possible way, teachers and other members of faculty of Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology and Management has come up with their unique sideways to let the students continue pursuing their education. The institution has been conducting online lectures via video conferences by the application Zoom and students are being given assignments on Google Classrooms online.
Now, the question arises that the same procedure is being conducted by other organisations, then how come ADGITM is on a different groove. The answer is, ADGITM is not stuck with just tutoring and taking assignments. The Institute has always believed that there is always so much more in teaching than just blabbering notes, giving homework and taking assignments. Teachers are also conducting quiz and viva using Google Forms and students are being provided curated study material in the form of PDFs, presentations, recorded lectures and online sources handcrafted and handpicked by the knowledgeable faculty to help students to understand every subject effectively. Efforts aren’t just ending here, teachers are conducting separate lectures for revision, viva, and doubts and counselling for stress management, productivity enhancement and focus development.
The institution also wanted to provide valuable knowledge to the students through online courses and therefore, a recent collaboration is established by the college with Coursera, a leading online platform to pursue diverse fields of knowledge to give students a chance to develop their knowledge outside the books via their online courses. The greatest fact about this collaboration is that all these courses are provided to students for free during the pandemic. These consistent and selfless efforts by the teachers and institution for the young minds instead of leaving students on their own and spending their quarantine time for themselves should really be appreciated. This is the time where we should nurture and safeguard our youth during this storm so when the pandemic disappears and the world would be ready to be on its track again, the youth would be able to lead it to its righteous way, making it a better world for all of us to live in.
